What is the Violet Flame?

The Violet Flame of Saint-Germain is the fire of transformation on all levels.  Saint-Germain is sometimes called Lord (or Chohan) of the Seventh Ray - the Violet Ray of Spiritual Light.  (All 7 rays combine to form pure white light, which is the Light of the Universe/Universal Love/God).  The Violet Ray is associated with the Crown Chakra.  When someone is living at the highly evolved spiritual level of the Crown Chakra there is no longer a separation between the Lower Self and Higher Self and there tends to be an attitude that 'bodies come and go but the self is eternal'.

The Violet Flame has the power to change or transmute any negative energy manifesting at physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.  This negative energy may take the form of illness, stress, anxiety, fear, doubt, hate, anger or unwanted habits etc.  These negative influences prevent us from experiencing the beauty and joy of our own spirit.  Working with this high frequency energy will gradually bring changes and new wisdom to the life of the seeker.  When we work with the Violet Flame, the energy permeates every cell and atom of our body, mind, emotions and spirit.  It is believed to actually step up the vibration of the physical body so that we resonate more with the pure white light of the Universe; the same light that is the divine spark within each and every one of us.  The aim of those who work with the Violet flame: self-realization and enlightenment.

About Saint-Germain

Comte de Saint-Germain was an 18th-century German Count who was known as 'Der Wundermann' ('The Wonderman').  Much mystery surrounds his origin and no details or record of his death exists.  Many claim to have seen and spoken to him as recently as the 1880s.  Indeed, some believe Saint-Germain still lives!

Much has been written about the Comte de Saint-Germain and his life story seems replete with mystery, magic and mysticism.  It was said that he never aged and maintained the physical appearance of a forty year old man for an entire century.

Saint-Germain was highly intelligent and creative and seemed to excel at everything he did.  He was a magician, a violinist, an artist, a chemist, a seer and an alchemist.  He had great wealth and socialised with the rich, famous and elite of his day.  He is said to have known nearly all European languages and to have comprehensive knowledge of history and chemistry.  To all intents and purposes, he seems to have been a very extraordinary man.  Perhaps even a genius.

Saint-Germain was also recognised as an adept who understood the ancient wisdom of the Freemasons, Rosicrucians and Knights Templar.  In Vienna he was involved in the founding of the Society of Asiatic Brothers and the Knights of the Light, who studied alchemy.  Saint-Germain's intention was to bring immortality of spirit to a small group of chosen initiates.  He believed that if he facilitated the spiritual growth of a small number of people, they in turn would each pass this wisdom and growth to a small number - and so on.

Saint-Germain taught that man has all the potential of the Universe within him, and that he must strive unceasingly to free himself from the binds of matter in order to open himself to communication with the Soul of the Universe.  The basic concept is that the soul is a divine spark that is seeking experience in the physical world before returning to its original home.  People throughout the ages have striven to become 'perfect' or 'pure' - to raise their own consciousness so that their divinity may be manifest in the physical body and expressed through it.  The 'awakening' of the divine within allows the human soul to consciously connect to the Higher Self - the part of ourselves that is connected to the Universe/God/Nature (whatever name you know it by).  The essence of alchemy is to effect transmutation of the spirit so that it can be free and not be confined or controlled by 'base matter' (the Lower Self/Ego - which includes selfish instincts and desires).
